Cryptme.de provides a secure way to communicate with respect of privacy, integrity and security using webmail.

Cryptme.de uses Pretty Good Privcy (PGP) to encrypt your messages and verify your identity to login. The server NEVER knows your private key or your password, since all data is stored inside your browser or an external media (e.g. USB stick). The server offers a webmail interface and delivers your encrypted messages to the recipient via email.

Emails can be received from / delivered to external email addresses. When receiving unencrypted emails, the server will use your stored public key to encrypt and store the message in your inbox and will inform the sender to use your public key for encryption next time. When sending emails, public keyservers will be asked for known public keys of the recipient and after selection will use them to encrypt the message using your browser.
